Norse Homes are built in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, 110 miles east of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Norse has built more than 1,700 homes for satisfied customers throughout the Upper Midwest.
Building homes indoors has numerous advantages. All materials are kept safely inside, eliminating the risk of weather damage, vandalism and theft. And the work schedule is never interrupted by bad weather.
The home building process begins with a specially reinforced subfloor featuring 2"x 10" double rim joists.
Exterior walls are constructed of 2"x 6" SPF, 16" on-center. Interior walls are a full 8' in height. All homes feature Tyvek infiltration barrier and fiberglass insulation.
After framing is completed, wiring and plumbing is installed. Sheetrock is glued and screwed, then taped, textured and painted. Cabinets, doors, windows and most of the trim is installed and finished. Roofing and siding are installed.
Each home is securely wrapped prior to transit to the customer's site. Visit On-site Completion to see how the home is set and completed on the building site.
